Hold a warm cup with both hands.
Cold dew is when the dew is said to feel cold. Hot tea starts tasting better again.
the barley tea waits in the fridge, the teapot moves to the front
Today is Kanro, cold dew. In the traditional calendar it is when the dew turns cold and autumn deepens.
The cold barley tea that lived in the fridge all summer starts getting picked less often. The teapot and the roasted green tea move from the back of the cupboard to the front. The seasons change in the kitchen too.
Today is a good day. Make one cup of something warm and hold it with both hands. The warmth gets through better that way.
Try this today
- Make a cup of hot tea
- Hold it with both hands while it cools
- Close the window before you sleep
