A few snowflakes. They melt before you can look.
Minor snow is when light snow is said to start falling in the mountains. Not enough to settle yet.
a snowflake lands on my palm, it melts before I can look
Today is Shosetsu, minor snow. In the traditional calendar it is when the cold deepens and the first light snow starts falling in the mountains.
It isn't the kind of snow that stays. Catch a flake on your palm and it melts almost before you can see it. That small letdown is about the size of today's bad luck.
If you're wearing gloves, a snowflake keeps its shape a little longer. If you'd like to look at one, catch it on a dark glove.
Try this today
- Get your gloves out
- Look up at the sky once today
- Eat something warm
