Misfortune

何故生荊棘

佳人意漸疏

久困重輪下

黄金未出渠

In English

  • Why do thorns and brambles spring up?
  • the beloved's heart slowly drifts away
  • long troubled beneath heavy wheels
  • the gold has yet to flow from the channel
Meaning
The poem ends with gold that has not yet come out of the channel. With thorns growing along the path and a close friend slowly drifting away, trying to force things back seems less useful than waiting for the time to turn.
What to do today
Let a strained relationship rest for now, and spend half an hour on something you enjoy.
A word from the capybara
Skipping the thorny weeds and looking for the soft grass instead.
