Great fortune

華発応陽台

車行進財宝

執文朝帝殿

走馬聴雷声

In English

  • Flowers bloom upon the sunny terrace
  • a carriage moves ahead bearing treasure
  • holding your writings, you attend the palace
  • racing your horse, you hear thunderous acclaim
Meaning
The first half is abundance, flowers on a sunny terrace and a carriage loaded with treasure; the second is recognition, writings carried into the palace and acclaim like thunder. Taking what you have prepared out into the open fits this poem well.
