Don't put the fan away just yet.
End of heat is when the summer heat is said to start easing off. It rarely leaves in one go.
the heat starts to ease off, the fan stays out a few more weeks
Today is Shosho, the end of heat. In the traditional calendar it is when the worst of summer begins to settle down.
That doesn't mean it suddenly gets cool. Put your electric fan in storage today and the heat will probably come right back tomorrow. The fan knows this.
Today is a little disappointing, but only a little: the kind of letdown a fan can blow away. Leave the fan out, listen for insects at night, and put away just one summer shirt.
Try this today
- Leave your fan out for a few more weeks
- Listen for insects outside at night
- Put away one summer shirt
