Sit on the floor. Sometimes you need to be low.

When the day is rough, getting closer to the ground can help. Let gravity do its thing.

Today is heavy. Not the kind of heavy you can push through with willpower or fix with a good attitude. Just heavy. And that's okay. On days like this, sometimes the best thing you can do is get low. Sit on the floor.

Not on a chair, not on the couch. The floor. Cross-legged, knees up, sprawled out, however your body wants to land. Feel the solid ground beneath you. You can't fall any further than this. There's a strange comfort in that, in being as low as you can go and finding that the ground holds you.

You don't have to figure anything out from down here. You don't have to be okay. You just have to be here, on the floor, breathing. The day will pass. It always does. And tomorrow will be different. But right now, the floor is enough. You are enough, even like this.
