You don't need a gratitude list. One small good thing is plenty.

Gratitude practices can start to feel like homework. Five things every night, in a journal, ranked and reflected on. For a tired mind, that's just one more task to fail at. So forget the list.

Instead, find one small good thing from today. Not the best thing, not a meaningful thing, just one small moment that was even slightly nice. The first sip of coffee. A green light. A message from someone. The way the light fell across the floor for a minute.

Hold it in mind for a moment, like a hamster tucking a seed into its cheek. You don't have to do anything with it. Just notice that, amid everything, one small good thing happened. On most days, that's true, and on most days, that's enough.
