Misfortune

怪異防憂悩

人宅見分離

惜華還値雨

杯酒惹閑非

In English

  • Guard against worry brought by strange events
  • people and households drift apart
  • cherishing the flowers, you meet with rain
  • and a cup of wine stirs up idle quarrels
Meaning
The first half brings strange events and distance within the household; the second, rain on flowers you treasured and a quarrel over drinks. Misfortune of this sort tends to grow from small things, so keeping your words and behavior modest is the safer course.
What to do today
Before saying something that might sting, pause for one breath.
A word from the capybara
Flower viewing is off for the rainy day, so tea at home it is.
