Small fortune

自幼常為旅

逢春駿馬驕

前程宜進歩

得箭降青霄

In English

  • Since youth you have been on the road
  • meeting spring, the fine horse grows spirited
  • on the way ahead, it is good to step forward
  • an arrow comes down from the blue sky
Meaning
The first half is restless energy, a lifetime of travel and a fine horse eager in the spring air; the second is measured, a road taken step by step and an arrow of help from the blue sky. The spirit is there, and the poem asks you to pace it.
What to do today
Trace the route to a place you would like to visit once on a map.
A word from the capybara
The horse is full of energy, so watching from a little distance is best.

The explanations added by each temple differ. The poems and fortunes follow an Edo-period printed edition.
