Move at turtle pace. Still arrives.
You don't have to be the rabbit. The turtle gets there too.
You probably know the fable. The rabbit is fast but cocky. The turtle plods along and crosses the finish line. As a kid it was a sweet story. As an adult, it might land harder.
We glamorize rabbits. Fast wins, instant results. But the people who go the longest distance, in careers, in relationships, in skills, are mostly turtles. A small step every day. Nothing flashy. Crucially, no stopping.
Today, be a turtle. One millimeter forward is plenty. Seven millimeters by next week. Thirty by next month. Before you notice, you're farther than you ever expected. That's the turtle's quiet strategy.
Try this today
- Pick the smallest possible step today, and do it
- Tell yourself: "One millimeter is enough"
- This week, prioritize continuing over outcomes
