No. 96

Hit snooze once, guilt-free. You're allowed a slow start.

Waking up slowly isn't weakness. One unhurried snooze can be a kindness.

The alarm goes off, and the day demands you spring up immediately, as if the worthy people leap out of bed at the first beep. For a lot of us, that's just not how mornings work, and forcing it sets a tense, behind-already tone for the whole day.

So today, give yourself one snooze, and don't feel bad about it. Not an hour of avoidance, just a few honest minutes to surface slowly, to let your body catch up to the fact that it's morning. Waking is a transition, not a switch you flip.

Use those minutes gently. Stretch under the covers. Take a few slow breaths. Notice the light. Then get up at your own pace, a little softer than the alarm wanted. A slow start isn't a lost morning. Often it's the difference between stumbling into the day and easing into it.
